Albinos in myth
Although this article is particular to Native American cultures, it is reflective of many cultures around the world. It illustrates how albino animals are respected and seen as sacred by some. Although Native Americans will not harm an albino animal, many other cultures will seek the pelt, feathers or organs of such animals. This is also true of humans in some parts of the world such as parts of Africa.
